Disability campaigners comment on assisted suicide Judicial Review
A Judicial Review of assisted suicide prosecution policy was heard on Monday 16 November.
Supported by the Christian Legal Centre, disability campaigners Merv and Nikki Kenward challenged the Director of Public Prosecutions, who amended prosecution policy, making it less likely that doctors who assist suicide will be prosecuted. A procession took place outside the court to highlight the significance of the case.
